Abstract

We single out an alternative, strict interpretation of the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen criterion of reality, and the implied extensions of quantum correlations are found out. Then we prove that the known theorems of non-locality, i.e. Bell's theorem and the theorems without inequalities, fail if the new extensions are adopted. Therefore, quantum mechanics can coexist with locality if the criterion of reality is interpreted according to its strict sense.
