Abstract
This paper reports the results of laboratory observations on the number of attacksby a natural predator against two species of carabid beetles. Using the lacertidPodarcis sicula (Rafinesque 1810) (Reptilia: Lacertidae) as a predator model, weprovide evidence that chemicals released by C. velutinus constitute an effective antipredatorstrategy, significantly limiting the number of attacks.File in questo prodotto:
