The first quasielastic neutron scattering experiments (QENS) performed on a non discotic metallo-mesogenes, namely the coordination compound (DOBBA)2Cu are reported ((DOBBA)2Cu) is the (N-(4-dodecyl-oxysalicydenelminate)-4'-butylanine) Copper (II). The results, compared with those obtained for usual organic liquid crystals (LC) show a traslational diffusion coefficient smaller than the LC ones and, in the smectic A phases, a rotational diffusion really different from the L.C. The latter feature is analysed in the terms of a step-by-step rotation and of a partially hindered rotating molecules.
