The intention of the paper is to set out a theoretical digression as regards the representability of traumatic events and to explore the relationship between body, language, and power, as well as the relationship between men and women, victims and repressors in Argentina during the period of the last military dictatorship. The paper analyses the representation in literature of a norm: women’s supposed inferiority. Moving throughout the epistemological consideration as regards the possibility of speaking about trauma, the paper focuses on Luisa Valenzuela’s short story «Cambio de armas» (1982). The protagonist is a woman/ victim represented as a sick patient unable to act and who needs treatment.

El artículo analiza las formas a través de las cuales se moduló la relación entre hombres y mujeres en los Centros Clandestinos de Detención en la Argentina de los setenta y cómo se representa la colonización del cuerpo de la mujer en la literatura. El trabajo quiere dar respuestas concretas a estas cuestiones de dos maneras: por un lado, mediante una digresión teórica acerca de los traumas colectivos y, por otro lado, empíricamente, a través del análisis de un cuento de Luisa Valenzuela, «Cambio de armas» (1982). Valenzuela usa la literatura para mostrar el cuerpo enfermo de una mujer que necesita «arreglo», para darle al inal la posibilidad de cambiar su posición de colonizada.
