In recent years, the development of social media has affected several aspects of our individual and social lives. Social media appear to be places where a storytelling, which has jointly been built among users, takes shape. Their range of action has extended beyond interpersonal relationships, thus affecting important social processes, such as the representation of reality. This co-construction of the story, through the production, exchange and sharing of contents (posts, images, videos), is the result of processes of reflexivity which, in the connection state, are intented as a care for social relations. Starting from these assumptions, the article aims at investigating the connection among social media, education and reflexivity, with particular reference to the way through which the online storytelling, whether it is voluntary or not, has always a formative self and peer assessment function, which results in self-caring, caring for others and for the things of the world
