This paper presents a two-phase research project whereby subject instructors willingness to hold subject lessons in a FL was evaluated through a quantitative survey flanked by qualitative feedback. Findings from this survey were used to guide the design of the second phase of the project during which three courses in the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Calabria, were taught in English. Section 1 presents the data from the survey and Section 2 analyses the three interrelated perspectives of the CLIL participants: - tha pedagogical aspect, which will give an overview of the methodology proposed and the criteria selected for the assessment; - the students' perspective which highlights what reasons encouraged them to enrol in the course and the results achieved; - the academic aspect which underlines what reasons encouraged the Faculty to coordinators to develop an ICL program.
