The study tests the 25-factor typology of progress-prone and progress-resistant cultures of the Cultural Change Institute, adopting two regression models. The typology is based on values, beliefs, and attitudes that can be measured using the World Values Survey. The findings reveal the high productivity of a shift from a progress-resistant to a progress-prone value, belief, or attitude.

Abstract

The study tests the 25-factor typology of progress-prone and progress-resistant cultures of the Cultural Change Institute, adopting two regression models. The typology is based on values, beliefs, and attitudes that can be measured using the World Values Survey. The findings reveal the high productivity of a shift from a progress-resistant to a progress-prone value, belief, or attitude.
