Abstract
This paper deals with the implementation ofthe mathematical model for the Products AllocationProblem in a multi-layer warehouse. The model has beenapplied to identify the optimal warehouse configuration fora company operating in the sector of production anddistribution of sports equipment and sportswear, with themain goal of minimizing the material handling costs. Costanalysis have been carried out in order to evaluate the costsaving that could be obtained implementing the new layoutconfiguration. Different scenarios have been considered toevaluate the consistency of the obtained solution. Numericalcost results show a good quality solution.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
