Abstract
The physical and psychological traits, ways of presenting one’s self, and ways of being viewed by others helps us to delineate an individual and to understand his story better. Different sources used together can facilitate this process and help to achieve at least a probable result, distinguishing especially that which comes from the prejudices of courtiers or of patrons in the examination of narrative and iconography. This chapter analyses the modes of these representations, bringing out the features of the human portrayal of Robert Guiscard, of his brother, Count Roger I, and of Roger II.File in questo prodotto:
