The finding of a memorial stone, maded of local limestone, has given occasion to re–examine San Lucido territory which corresponds to that of Clampetia of Bruttium age. In the territory of this municipality there is a considerable number of sites that may be dated between protohistory and Roman epoch. In this occasion we preliminarily present the results of excavations carried out on the Roman villa site that has been founded out in San Cono locality and that may be dated between the first century BC and the second century AC.
