To understand the educational meaning of the formation it is interesting to deepen the sense of hermeneutics related to this problem. The Betti-Gadamer controversy on the philosophical role of hermeneutics, as the interpretative method which follows some rules (Betti), or as philosophical method which defines the subject in the specific situation (Gadamer), is a crucial point of contemporary philosophical culture. These two “interpretations” of hermeneutics help us better to understand the meaning of formation in pedagogy.
Per comprendere il significato pedagogico della formazione è interessante approfondire il senso dell’ermeneutica in relazione a questo problema. Viene presa in considerazione la polemica Betti-Gadamer sul ruolo dell’eremeneutica come metodo interpretativo che segue delle regole (Betti) o come metodo filosofico che definisce la soggettività nella specifica situazione (Gadamer). Questi due “interpretazioni” dell’ermeneutica ci aiutano a comprendere meglio il significato della formazione in pedagogia.
