Abstract
This article discusses how it may be possible to facilitate language acquisition for Italian students preparing for a degree in Mediazione Linguistica in Italian universities, by means of an approach based on pedagogic translation, specifically with reference to the acquisition of skills in a comparative sense, between English and Italian, related to stylistics, syntax, equivalence and cohesion. It is the writer’s intention to delineate the specific problems which arise in this teaching context and to suggest a means of satisfying institutional requirements and student expectations and needs without compromising the development of competencies which can be extended to a variety of other subjects and fields of academic interest, due to and thanks to the flexible and interdisciplinary nature of translation studies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
