A simplified circuit-model approach is presentedin this work to analyze the behavior of a novel broadbandvaractor loaded phasing line, specifically designed to improve thefrequency performances of aperture-coupled reflectarray cell,and able to offer a useful degree of frequency agility. Theproposed approach provides a simple but effectivedemonstration of the enhanced frequency performances of theadopted radial line geometry with respect to standard linearphasing line configurations.
