Ritualità funeraria nell’area meridionale della “Langobardia minor”,

The analysis of the written sources is associated with the study of material evidence pertinent to the southern part of the ancient Langobardia minor, from the banks of the Tyrrhenian to those of the Adriatic. The aim is to analyze the regional and sub-regional differences of the tomb types and the related personal and ritual equipment of the various sites. The documented characteristics will be the indication of the treatment of the changes and / or the continuation of the use of funeral rituals, in a territory where the coexistence of the Lombard and the autochthonous world is attested.

All’analisi delle fonti scritte si associa lo studio delle testimonianze materiali pertinenti alla fascia meridionale dell’antica Langobardia minor, dalle sponde del Tirreno a quelle dell’Adriatico. Il fine è quello di analizzare le differenze regionali e subregionali delle tipologie tombali e il relativo corredo personale e rituale dei vari siti. Le caratteristiche documentate costituiranno l’indizio di trattazione dei cambiamenti e/o del perdurare degli usi di ritualità funeraria, in un territorio in cui è attestata la compresenza del mondo longobardo e di quello autoctono.
