Metamorphic features of basic dikes in the San Donato Unit:geodynamic implication.(Northern Calabria)San Donato Unit, outcrops in the northern sector of the Calabrian-Peloritani Arc and is part of a transitional domain located between the carbonate platform, westwards, and the oceanic domain (Lagonegro-type Basin, Ietto et al., 1993).The stratigrafic succession shows deformative events and metamorphism ( early Trias- Carnico); it is subdivided into three main members:a) basal silici-clastic strata interbedded with carbonatic sediments of Anisian age; b) a mixed sedimentation calcareous and silico-clastic strata of Anisian – Carnico age, in the midle portion; c) an upper member constituted by dolostone and silici-clastic strata of Carnico age.
