The current work presents, in its initial part, a concise overwiew of the state of the art of the Ethnolinguistic studies to date, followed by a series of case studies, mainly referred to the italian situation. The aim of the volume is to introduce students, but not in any exclusive sense, to the chief problems of ethnolinguistic research methodology.
