In a previous work has been done critical analyzes of methods for determining the biological effects on people subject to occupational exposure to noise. The European Parliament and the Council adopted the Directive 2003/10/EC on the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (noise). These measures are intended to ensure the protection of each worker on individual basis, and also to create a minimum basis of protection for all Community workers in order to avoid possible distortions of competition. The most inadequacies of the method consists in the choice of the C-weighted scale; in the reference to the scales of weight to be used for the identification of the level of peak pressure; in the absence of procedures for determining the effect of multiple impulsive events, having levels below the threshold, that may be irrelevant to the determination of the daily dose. In this paper, are presented the results of monitoring the dynamics of the phenomenon, by studying the temporal evolution of the sound pressure level and the un-weighted instantaneous sound pressure, that determines the presence of very energetic events of short duration. Analyzes are referred to different work activities (exposure to loud noise at low and high frequency, to highly variable noise, etc..), and allow detection of interactions between exposure, absorbed dose and pathological effects on exposed persons, in order to identifying the value of the physical parameters which determine the onset of physical damage.
