Abstract
At present, in numerical simulation of flood propagation, a two-dimensional approach is used in the study of inundations affecting areas with complex geometry like the city zones with various kinds of constructions. In this paper different simulations have been carried out in order to investigate the performance of the different numerical techniques of the treatment of the presence of buildings. In order to do that, a test presented in the literature, representing of a flood propagation over a simplified urban area, has been simulated. The upwind finite volume HLLC scheme has been implemented. The obtained results are compared with experimental data in order to evaluate the accuracy of the numerical solutions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
