My contribution is aimed by two main purposes. The first one is to address the theoretical analysis of mobility, and of its socio-economic and political dynamics, within a broader understanding of the historical development of capitalism. The second one, moreover, wants to underline the absolute relevance of that phenomenon for the current processes of value creation, by proving its importance not only for those “neuralgic” advanced activities of the western countries’ new economy, but even for “marginal” sectors and “remote” regions and social contexts. Mobility–conceived as a constant and incremental trend of capitalism, essential to its development–seems indeed to be the historical/relational reality where current hybrid forms of humanness, nature, spatial-temporal criteria, productive and political capabilities, they are being created and continuously re-shaped at the intersection between sociality and technology.
