This report compendiates the Italian's Team results prestented at the Final Conference of the EFFECT project, funded by Directorate General Home Affairs - ISEC ,- with the aim of assessing the nature and prevalence of gun-enabled crime (GEC) across select EU and candidate countries, the nature and role of legislation within countries and at an EU level, and the challenges for policing gun crime. In addition, the potential role of ballistics intelligence gathering and cross-border sharing in the prevention of the illegal use of firearms was examined.
