Preliminary investigations at the restoration project for Ricciulli Palace

Historical research is the first step towards an architectural restoration project. Such a research begins with the quest for the information that can help in the reconstruction of the case history of the project’s focus. Applying theory to practice is not always easy. The lack of historical sources, obviously, is no obstacle to the realization of a project. The work then proceeds through the realization of the necessary surveys, the collection of information, the filing of the collected data, along with all information that allow to develop the various phases of the intervention. For the realization of the diagnostic plan for Ricciulli palace, an early historiographical investigation aiming at the reconstruction of its case istory has been carried out.
