This article intends to analyse the frequency of use of foreignism and lunfardismos in tango lyrics of 28 authors, whose works appeared between 1920 and 1960. The objective is to verify, through empirical data extracted with the AntConc 3.5.3 concordance software, if the use of such a lexical repertoire of importation in Río de la Plata, corresponded to a mere linguistic contamination; or, on the contrary, to a form of expression for stylistic purposes, in addition to inquiring about the presence of code-switching or code-mixing. To do this, we will use instruments of computational linguistics, sociolinguistics and the concepts and principles of social and linguistic anthropology.
