The contribution focuses on the didactically and pedagogically correct use of digital technologies in educational contexts. Specifically, it is considered the use of the Interactive Multimedia Whiteboard (IWB) to support active, collaborative and inclusive teaching, in its meaning of technology to promote meaningful and collaborative learning in a social-constructivist educational model. After having described the interactive whiteboard (IWB) in its technical characteristics, the didactic aspects are analyzed and evaluated, putting the instrument in relation with the learning styles and describing some known results in the sector literature.
