In the last years, the use of energy storage systems, to allow greater renewable sources integration especially for local energy systems, is significantly increasing. Opportune energy management methods have to be implemented for an efficient use of those energy storage systems. In this paper, an efficient energy management method, proposed by the authors in a previous paper, is briefly discussed and a real-life application, realized in the Campus of University of Calabria, is presented. The proposed energy management method is used in order to reduce power peaks on the grid, to reduce the energy exchanged with the grid and the power imbalances.

Abstract
In the last years, the use of energy storage systems, to allow greater renewable sources integration especially for local energy systems, is significantly increasing. Opportune energy management methods have to be implemented for an efficient use of those energy storage systems. In this paper, an efficient energy management method, proposed by the authors in a previous paper, is briefly discussed and a real-life application, realized in the Campus of University of Calabria, is presented. The proposed energy management method is used in order to reduce power peaks on the grid, to reduce the energy exchanged with the grid and the power imbalances.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
