Abstract
Optical 3D measurement techniques has a substantial effect on the traditional process of architectural/urban survey by modifying both the methods and procedures for data acquisition, that the dialectic relations between the surveyor, the historical buildings and its representation. Range-based and image-based techniques, on the one hand, encourages new cognitive scenarios and stimulates innovative opportunities for documentation, analysis, digital preservation, interactive visualization, enhancement and representation of the historical buildings, on the other hand “conditions” the results, directing the surveyor toward graphical/analytical situations and investigation modes typical of the technique itself.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
