By Antonino Vaccaro, full professor at IESE Business School and Academic Director of the Center for Business in Society, and Mario Caligiuri, full professor at the University of Calabria and currently the President of the Italian Society for Intelligence As the world continues its battle against the the spread of Coronavirus, global policymakers would do well to look at how the hardest hit countries have so far responded to this crisis. Not only to spot what potential pitfalls they should avoid, but also to see what policies and approaches have worked and should be replicated further. We argue that, in particular, Italy´s response can provide some useful lessons and point to a number of best practices for policymakers in this regards.
