Development of local communities, in many cases, is also based on the ability to recognize specificities and above all their own identity. For this reason, they are increasingly the territorial experiences that focus on the research and the enhancement of the excellences and uniqueness of the places. In a global scenario, activism of territories, at the same time, places an emphasis on the re-emergence and the rediscovery of the local level (Robertson 1999). From this point of view, in contrasts with those localities that undergo a process of homologation because of the loss of their distinctive and unique traits, the place acquires centrality because it seems to constitute the way to follow in order not to succumb to globalization, mostly for those minor and marginal territories (Mazzette 2017). Strengthening of the local identity can constitute a defensive strategy versus global dynamics that tend to the continuous and rapid change of places, which appear, because of this, less and less able to preserve their distinctive characteristics (Knox, 2005). In this perspective, the paper focus on the practices based on paths of participation and sharing and aimed at the tourist enhancement of the territories and the implementation of sustainable development models.

Abstract
In this perspective, the paper focus on the practices based on paths of participation and sharing and aimed at the tourist enhancement of the territories and the implementation of sustainable development models.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
