Abstract

Through-the-wall capabilities of Bessel sources in the framework of short-range sensing are investigated in the present contribution. Assuming a two layers stratification to model the wall, the expression of the transmitted Bessel beam is derived and the power delivery computation behind the wall is numerically performed. Preliminary numerical validations are performed on a realistic wall scenario, thus proving the effectiveness of Bessel beams to provide focused patterns useful for short-range target detection behind a wall.
