Abstract

The non universality of the quark Sivers function is a fundamental prediction from the gauge invariance of QCD. The experimental test of theSivers function sign change between semi-inclusicve DIS and Drell-Yan processes is one of the open questions in hadronic physics, and can provide a direct verification of TMD factorization. While a precise measurement of asymmetries in Drell-Yan production is challenging, W±/Z0W^{pm}/Z^{0}W±/Z0 production is equally sensitive to the predicted sign change. We present the preliminary measurement of the transverse single spin asymmetry of weak bosons by the STAR experiment at RHIC using transversely polarized proton-proton collisions at s=500sqrt{s}=500s =500 GeV.
