"Otto per mille" is a financing system of the Catholic Church and other religious confessions that have signed agreements with the italian government. It was introduced in 1990. In recent years, some rerolutions of the judicial control institution over public finances (named "Corte dei Conti) provided by the italian mail law (Costituzione della Repubblica) have underlined a series of critical aspects in the managements of these funds, which above all involve the italian government and the Catholic Church, the organization that draws the greatest benefits from this system. The chapter focuses on the main contents of the resolutions and on the results of a qualitative survey research, conducted in order to verify the validity of the observations made by judicial institution.
