Metamorfosi della critica omerica: indicazioni di variante nei diversi strumenti esegetici

This essay investigates how the indication of variant changes in relation to some of the different types of critical tools used throughout the long history of ancient Homeric exegesis. The aim is to understand whether the nature of the medium can influence the reader's perception of the variant itself and to what extent it determines its future in the tradition. Examples will be provided from marginal annotations and ὑπομνήματα on papyrus, as well as from the Homeric Scholia vetera.
