The research presents space-time dynamics of the first pandemic wave in Calabria, investigated with diffusion and causality models in the logic of the Covid-19 Atlas Project. The work is about the cartography on the geographic aspects of contagion and shows these dynamics between disease and territory relationship, comparing the incidence and the spread of Covid-19 with environmental and territorial factors. Diffusion models arise from grid and proximity of the country. The virus spread in Calabria begins with interregional network dynamics and can be read in the school and work mobility, in the socio-economic system and in the structure of the inhabitants. These dynamics are followed by intraregional dynamics of the reticular type and of proximity. The two dynamics are systemic and linked to the mobility of internal spaces. In fact, in Calabria flows and cluster of infected people don’t concern directly urban centers and production system, as in others Italy regions, but the more peripheral and internal areas. The epidemic dimension of Covid-19, in fact, highlights the weaknesses and strengths of the internal areas; besides validates the methodological approach of the research and confirms in the dynamics of viral propagation in Calabria the weight of socio-healthcare and socio-spatial factors in the management of the emergency in the past health emergency of the region.

Abstract
The epidemic dimension of Covid-19, in fact, highlights the weaknesses and strengths of the internal areas; besides validates the methodological approach of the research and confirms in the dynamics of viral propagation in Calabria the weight of socio-healthcare and socio-spatial factors in the management of the emergency in the past health emergency of the region.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
