The paper deals with the study of the Sanctuary of Santa Maria d'Anglona in Tursi (MT), a rare example of a typological layout that finds, in the solution of the facade, similarities only in a few examples in Norman Sicily. Its construction dates back to the 11th-12th centuries as an extension of a primitive nucleus dated between the 7th and 8th centuries. Declared a National Monument in 1931 and elevated to Pontifical Minor Basilica in 1999, it features an important iconographic cycle completed in all its parts. The study of the monument starts with a 3D survey, conducted by the authors, born with a twofold purpose, namely to contribute to the digitisation of our historical architectural heritage, which is as vast as it is fragile, and to provide an updated dataset, which, in addition to crystallising the current state of the work, proposes some graphic representations produced to describe the spatiality of the monument and to analyse its architectural features.

Abstract
The paper deals with the study of the Sanctuary of Santa Maria d'Anglona in Tursi (MT), a rare example of a typological layout that finds, in the solution of the facade, similarities only in a few examples in Norman Sicily. Its construction dates back to the 11th-12th centuries as an extension of a primitive nucleus dated between the 7th and 8th centuries. Declared a National Monument in 1931 and elevated to Pontifical Minor Basilica in 1999, it features an important iconographic cycle completed in all its parts. The study of the monument starts with a 3D survey, conducted by the authors, born with a twofold purpose, namely to contribute to the digitisation of our historical architectural heritage, which is as vast as it is fragile, and to provide an updated dataset, which, in addition to crystallising the current state of the work, proposes some graphic representations produced to describe the spatiality of the monument and to analyse its architectural features.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
