Companies in the insurance and banking sector are subject to ESG assessment both from a legislative point of view and by investors, and therefore prepare the sustainability report (DNF). The objective of the paper is therefore to conduct an analysis of the insurance sector in order to identify the sustainability practices, with specific regard to environmental sustainability, implemented by companies. The approach of the paper is qualitative and is based on the case study method. The reference background is based on Gulluscio, Puntillo, Luciani and Huisingh (2020) who provide a framework on sustainability reporting and Joyce and Paquin (2016), who instead propose a useful tool for identifying the sustainability practices of businesses. The data used for the analysis are public and extrapolated from the sustainability report of the company considered. The paper has implications of an academic nature, as it contributes to the empirical verification of the model of Joyce and Paquin (2016) and implications of a managerial nature, as it provides companies with similar suggestions useful for the implementation of environmental sustainability practices.

Abstract
The paper has implications of an academic nature, as it contributes to the empirical verification of the model of Joyce and Paquin (2016) and implications of a managerial nature, as it provides companies with similar suggestions useful for the implementation of environmental sustainability practices.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
