The integration of renewable energy sources is one of the principal issues of the electric power system. Their non-dispatchability does not allow for a continuous match between production and consumption. So, new solution to increase flexibility are necessary. The article describes the solution implemented on the University of Calabria campus, as part of the ebalancePlus Demo project, to provide flexibility and increase grid resilience. First, the adopted solutions are described, then their main operating functions are discussed, and finally the possible remuneration strategies for end-users who decide to adopt these solutions are presented.
