This contribution deals with the study of the ruins of the convent of San Domenico in Soriano Calabro (VV) starting from its accurate survey and presents the first results relating to the 3D recon- struction in a BIM environment of the facade of its church, partially destroyed by the catastrophic earth- quake of 1783. The research is part of the “SPLASC Smart PLAtform and Applications for Southern Cultural Heritage” project, funded by European Union - Next Generation EU which aims to increase the levels of knowledge of the identity of the cultural-architectural heritage and to promote fruitful solutions increased through the use of innovative ICT, starting from virtual reconstructions of the architectural as- sets examined.
