This book is a further preliminary report of the research activity conducted by the “Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici dell’Università della Calabria” at the ancient settlement of Timpone della Motta in Francavilla Marittima (CS). The publication concerns the research conducted between 2018 and 2022 in area C (section 7), a sector in which evidence of wooden and masonry structures and several archaeological finds have been found. The subject of the preliminary report are stratigraphic units, residential structures, pottery and other finds, as well as faunal remains. The analysis provides important information on construction techniques, trades, domestic practices and eating habits at the site. The analyzed data will allow to integrate past and future research for a better understanding of the settlement.
