This paper focuses on the presentation of the results of an exploratory survey conducted in Italy that aimed to detect the care of people with disabilities by health, social-health, social-assistance and social services during the first year of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, the study was carried out by administering questionnaires to people with disabilities, family members and caregivers, and represents a snapshot of the impact that the restrictive measures on access to essential services and daily support have caused, highlighting the difficulties faced, the strategies implemented to overcome them and the prevailing emotions, such as anxiety, loneliness, frustration, but also resilience and solidarity.
