In line with the Council of Europe (2020), this study investigates the role of University Language Centers in the UK, Ireland, and Italy in promoting quality education and fostering social inclusion. Specifically, it explores how these Centers encourage multilingualism and multiculturalism and integrate social equality within their educational programs on their websites, targeting both their university students and their wider community. Through a critical analysis, the study uncovers the language ideologies behind the promotion of language education, providing comparative insights across the two language communities. The analysis examines how the Language Centers’ websites reflect their commitments to accessibility, diversity, and social inclusion. Despite progress, the findings highlight a need for further efforts to better engage prospective students and local communities to achieve greater educational and societal impact.

Through a critical analysis, the study uncovers the language ideologies behind the promotion of language education, providing comparative insights across the two language communities. The analysis examines how the Language Centers’ websites reflect their commitments to accessibility, diversity, and social inclusion. Despite progress, the findings highlight a need for further efforts to better engage prospective students and local communities to achieve greater educational and societal impact.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
