This study investigates the factors shaping sustainable behaviour among university students in Italy, Brazil, and Vietnam, addressing the persistent gap between environmental awareness and actual pro- environmental conduct - a phenomenon widely described in the literature as the value-action gap. Drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 1991) and the value-action gap framework (Blake, 1999; Kollmuss and Agyeman, 2002), the research employs a cross-sectional quantitative survey design using a structured multi-section questionnaire. The instrument captures social and ecological awareness, institutional trust, social influence, motivations, perceived barriers, and sustainable consumption criteria across three culturally and institutionally distinct national contexts.

Abstract
This study investigates the factors shaping sustainable behaviour among university students in Italy, Brazil, and Vietnam, addressing the persistent gap between environmental awareness and actual pro- environmental conduct - a phenomenon widely described in the literature as the value-action gap. Drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 1991) and the value-action gap framework (Blake, 1999; Kollmuss and Agyeman, 2002), the research employs a cross-sectional quantitative survey design using a structured multi-section questionnaire. The instrument captures social and ecological awareness, institutional trust, social influence, motivations, perceived barriers, and sustainable consumption criteria across three culturally and institutionally distinct national contexts.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
