The paper presents an analytic model based on the so called "softened truss" theory, able to take on in rational terms the problem of the control of cracking in r.c. members and able as well to evaluate the width of the cracks in buildings subject to simple or compound (i.e. bending and shear and/or torsional) stresses. The results obtained are reported in the form of graphs, by means of which the design data needed to control cracking can be directly read off.

Abstract
The paper presents an analytic model based on the so called "softened truss" theory, able to take on in rational terms the problem of the control of cracking in r.c. members and able as well to evaluate the width of the cracks in buildings subject to simple or compound (i.e. bending and shear and/or torsional) stresses. The results obtained are reported in the form of graphs, by means of which the design data needed to control cracking can be directly read off.File in questo prodotto:
