Abstract
Incremental Forming is one of the most innovative solutions in the field of sheet metal forming processes due to its well-known advantages in terms of flexibility and set-up costs reduction. Higher is the industrial application, higher is the required improvement of the process understanding from a process control and a basic research point of view. Despite many works have been carried out in the last years, in fact, the typical "trial and error" approach represents the simplest way to adopt in new investigation or complex shape manufacturing. Starting by this idea, in the present study, a newer procedure to measure and predict the maximum formability of an Aluminium Alloy 1050 - O in Incremental Forming process was analyzed. More in detail, in the present study Incremental Sheet Forming was defined and, finally, generalised for changing geometrical conditions. To do that, both an experimental and numerical analysis were implemented and properly compared.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
