This paper is a spur to re-examine a fascinating part of mathematical subjects, by the use of the new technological instruments. The theme is about algebraic curves, unfairly disregarded in didactics of high school, also owing to their difficult graphic representation. As an example we'll consider the Limacon of Pascal. By computer and the use of the programming language MatCos, we'll construct simple algorithms to represent the curve by means of the envelope of a family of circles.
