Giovanni Gentile’s last book Genesis and Structure of Society (published after his death in 1946) is one of the philosopher’s most important books. In particular, this text contains a trasformation of the Philsophy of the Act taking into account the dominant scientific research. The text expresses concepts such as humanism of the job and death as social event, which determine his most concrete Philosophy of the Act. By analyzing every part of the book, the author demonstrates that it is not true that the philosophy of the Act is an idealistic and an abstract philosophy.
