The current debate on the nature of Kant’s moral philosophy seems to be one of the most important subjects in the philosophical literature at large. The main question is, above all: on the one hand, if the practical philosophy can be considered the emanation of the pure “theoretical idea” of ethics, which had the moral law as its subject, and the liberty as its ratio essendi; and, on the other hand, if that theoretical idea of the practical philosophy can also include in itself the pragmatic side, viewed by anthropology. In the present essay we will show the main role of Kant’s anthropology in order to obtain a more exact reading of the Kantian practical philosophy

Abstract
The current debate on the nature of Kant’s moral philosophy seems to be one of the most important subjects in the philosophical literature at large. The main question is, above all: on the one hand, if the practical philosophy can be considered the emanation of the pure “theoretical idea” of ethics, which had the moral law as its subject, and the liberty as its ratio essendi; and, on the other hand, if that theoretical idea of the practical philosophy can also include in itself the pragmatic side, viewed by anthropology. In the present essay we will show the main role of Kant’s anthropology in order to obtain a more exact reading of the Kantian practical philosophyI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
