The article describes the technical characteristics of Basel 2 and its effects on Italian SMEs and the competitive advantage of business networks in perspective of Basel 2. In conclusion, the SMEs aggregated in networks, once the banks will be able to evaluate their relational system will be able to obtain better conditions for credit access especially if the network is stable, planned and is situated in clusters.
