This article departs from defining future as the ‘time of the new’, in which unforeseeable can be foreseen through imagination, projection and, in the case of new media and technologies, designed. In fact, it is also through imagination and the constitution of a specific imagery that technologies become the media in users’ hands, and artifacts at disposal of different social groups. Future is the time of the new, the time in which a revolution is expected to happen even if revolution can be envisaged as time for both transformation and conservation.

Abstract
This article departs from defining future as the ‘time of the new’, in which unforeseeable can be foreseen through imagination, projection and, in the case of new media and technologies, designed. In fact, it is also through imagination and the constitution of a specific imagery that technologies become the media in users’ hands, and artifacts at disposal of different social groups. Future is the time of the new, the time in which a revolution is expected to happen even if revolution can be envisaged as time for both transformation and conservation.File in questo prodotto:
