Abstract
From an educational perspective, the elder is the witness both of his overall educational and training history and of all the experiences made during his long existence. There is an ontological constitutive relationship between the elder and the child that mainly arise through the spontaneous pedagogical ability of the elder to educate and to disclose, without veil, his existence by means of tales, such as the personal sequence of formative events made during the whole life.In the elder the memory becomes an indispensable tool for education and training as it allows him to ascend, maieutically, towards a critical awareness of him self, therefore open and dialectic. For this reason the elder is an irreplaceable resource for his family: he is both an educator and a link between different generations for those who come after him.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
