The sampling theorem is used to evaluate the field scattered by an arbitrary, possibly penetrable, body. The required 'samples' can be efficiently computed by means the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm, whereas selftruncating versions of the sampling series can be used to speed up its convergence. Numerical results showing the effectiveness of the proposed technique are presented.

Abstract
