In this essay the author analyzes John Dewey’s 1929 essay The Sources of a Science of Education, which is considered in Italy as the paradigm of the sciences of education as well as a very important essay for the democratic change of the Italian school by means of a new interpretation. In fact, according to the author’s opinion, in this essay Dewey tries to define a science of education because only Science can direct the development of democracy.
L’autore in questo saggio analizza il saggio di Dewey The Sources of a Science of Education del 1929, considerato in Italia il paradigma delle scienze dell’educazione, molto importante per il cambiamento democratico della scuola italiana, dando una nuova interpretazione. Infatti in questo saggio, secondo l’opinione dell’autore, Dewey tenta di definire una scienza dell’educazione, perché solo la Scienza può orientare lo sviluppo della democrazia.
